As I answer these, keep in mind that I'm dressed as an old man with a dragon cane. Yep, it's spirit week here at TVHS.
WHO are you designing your game for? People aged 0-100 who know something about the states, such as names and where they are at.
WHAT will your game teach the player about your topic? You're gonna learn about some interesting state facts, yes sir!
WHERE does your game happen? Good ole U.S. of A.
Describe the world you will design for your game. Rock and roll lifestyle all the way.
How will this setting add to the learning experience? It adds an exciting, musical sense to the game.
HOW does your game world teach the player about your topic? You learn about state facts, while also experiencing daily life as a famous musician.
What happens in the world that helps the player learn? Road signs give you clues about how to answer the questions, while learning some bonus facts on the side.
How does the player use what they learned to make something happen in the game? They can tell everybody all the interesting stuff they've learned about the USA.
WHY is a game a better way of understanding your topic than a quiz? Games add an exciting twist to learning, you learn by doing something a little more hands on than a simple quiz.
So Good That You Can't Help But +1 It On Google+ (just kidding, nobody uses Google+)

Imaginin' One Of Them Game Things
Wanna know what this game is gonna be about? Here it is (with an awesome design on it, might I add)!
I have a feeling this game is going to turn out good after all. I'm going to add voices, sound effects, animations, and more. Ready for the game of the year?
You know what to do.

The Semi-Awesome Mini Game Game
After a few failed attempts at coding in ActionScript, I finally completed my mini game! It's tough to figure out at first, but after some time looking it over and learning to do it, I can easily edit ActionScript (although I still can't make a code from scratch, guess I still have some work to do).
Creating this game was tough at first, but gradually got easier. The best part was the little added background (well, in my opinion). The tough part was learning the code, but now I mostly have it down, so it's all good.
Check out the game!

The Next Best Thing Since Rock Music
For the three or four people who are actually reading this, my name is Aaron.
And now for the other two who are still reading to this point, I should probably throw out my idea for the game. The setting of the game is in America, modern day, and the player plays as a rock band (and they play real music, not that Justin Bieber "music") trying to reach a concert here in fabulous West Virginia. You start in Florida, and work your way north through states such as Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and finally West Virginia. In order to move on through to the next state, you must correctly answer 3 questions about the states' history. If you miss the question, you lose one life, and you have a total of three lives. After those lives run out, the bus breaks down, you you have to restart the game. Clues within the level will help you solve the questions and move on to the next state.
Yes, I know this sounds over-the-top for somebody with my experience in Flash, but considering I have a lot of time to work on it, I think I can make this game come to life. And reading through sites like the Halo Wars Development Blog and the basic information of strategy games from Wikipedia (under the Research Links section), I think I know what I need to do to make this game work.
The more I think about it, the more I realize this game idea is becoming more of an adventure game than anything else.... whoops.

Let The Games Begin!
So, after a few days of playing various games that were given to me, I've realized that my game idea will fall under the category of strategy. While other games in the categories of racing, sports, adventure, and puzzles are interesting, I seem to be more interested in strategy games.

Games like 3rd World Farmer require much thought and the right decisions in order to be successful. I played and made it to 2,180 points and $190,000. I could have went longer, but I was low on time, so I sold all my harvesters and barns and elephants and left the farm. I did make it in the Top 1000 All Time Scores at.... #989. But hey, I feel like a winner!
I still have some time to decide on a game topic, but I know it's gonna be a strategy game, and with me being me, it absolutely has to involve something classic rock, whether the main song in the beginning be a classic from AC/DC, or a cut scene has some Led Zeppelin song on the radio in the background.

In The Beginning....
Globaloria is a great experience so far, learning how to use HTML code to edit a wiki page and even learning to use HTML to edit a blog.... somewhat. I have a feeling that the next best game since Halo will come out of this class. Wait, I don't really like Halo much.... maybe something more my style, like Brutal Legend. Yeah, that's a great game. This game is gonna be as great as Brutal Legend!
On a more serious note, I've been told to tell you all about the danger that is the Internet. You know, there are many creepy people out there who thrive off of hacking you and stealing everything that is on your computer. Unfortunately, there are some things that you wanna keep secret, say maybe something like.... well, I don't know, your bank account login? Yeah, you might not wanna share that with a money-hungry 40-year-old man. Maybe you'll come on a time where that 40-year-old man is really a geeky tech man working for one of Big Tony's 300 pizzerias in New York, and we all know what they do. This crazy guy might end up at your house and try to steal your money, maybe even your computer. And if you don't give him what he wants, he'll call up his boss Big Tony, and you'll have the entire New York Mafia at your front door. And guess what? You could have avoided this by not sharing your password with anybody, even "Mr. Supposed To Be IRS Man Who Wants Your Bank Info".
In other words, don't throw your info out on the Internet like crazy. Here, let my good friend Stephen Colbert explain it for you:
