I Can Haz Animationz?

Awesome dude thinkin' about monkeys
This link here takes you to a Flash movie. This is what I want to do with the game. While there will be gameplay in our game, I want to add cutscenes, a bit of funny cutscenes, and make something entertaining.  This man has been doing Flash since he first got a version of Flash MX in 2001.  Over the past 10 years, his skills have greatly improved, and while I realize it's going to take way more than a couple of months to get this good, I can try to animate to the best of my ability.

Adding, But Not Math!

Part 3 of 9.  Jeez, this is going to take awhile...

The topic is not so much told through the game itself (but in a way, it kinda is), but more based upon starting with the player's previous knowledge before playing the game.  Examples of this would be "Third World Farmer" where prior knowledge is used to strategically advance in the game.  Other games include "Left 4 Dead" and "Brutal Legend".  One game is about zombies, one game is about music.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm not making any sense...

Click 'Em Up

Well, I was supposed to blog about a resource link from a random person's blog, but after 40 minutes of research, I can't seem to find a resource link. Anywhere. At all.

However, I found this kid who seems to love Spam Whales. He's pretty beast in my book.

So, I need to find my own research link. HERE IT IS! It's where I find my rock music information. It's pretty accurate if you ask me, even though it's Wikipedia.

So, that's all. For now....

I'm Drawing WHAT!?

Oh, hello there.  It appears that I haven't blogged since December 6th.  It's about time I fix that, eh?  So, the next nine (yes, the numero 9) blog posts will be a series of posts that I forgot to do (or so you think).

This little paper here says that this post is on "Drawing A Scene".  I think I can do it, as long as my friend Dave Grohl here keeps me entertained while I write this.  Let's do this.

A new "concept" I've learned is basically what our entire game is based around - rock music and it's history.  Before researching for the game, I knew little about rock music comparing it to what I know now.  The entire genre of rock itself has me interested (I mean rock, metal, alternative, classic, and so on, not screamo or stuff like that... ugh).  I've learned about the first real rock musicians, how they helped form the basis for the genre.  All of this was based upon Internet research, books, and just stuff I've learned over the years from various sources.  Plus, with me following people such as the Rock It Out! Blog on YouTube and such, I've learned about new bands, a bit about rock music history, and other things rock-related.

You know what to do.
